I think all the positive reviews this game has received has more to do with how hungry everyone is for a new skate game but this isn’t it. It’s fun for a little while but it isn’t a complete game and all the promises the publishers made excusing the unfinished state of the game haven’t panned out. All the DLC they have been releasing seems a bit premature as the core game isn’t even complete, and its hard to not interpret it as a cash grab. .
In 2020 I found the game’s learning curve to be too steep for me to enjoy myself. Going in, I had expected something similair to Skate 2, which I had loved playing on the PS3. However, to go in with this expectation was wrong, because as much as you CAN just jump into this game and ♥♥♥♥ around with new gnarly lines in the trickiest of spots, you need to LEARN to do that first. One does not simply shred in Session. No, one learns to shred first.
Jumping back in now… My God, it’s the absolute best!
