Sonic Mania is a good “classic” Sonic game and I highly recommend it if you are a fan of the genesis games. That being said, they once again relied too much on nostalgia bait with reused level themes. There are only 4 original level themes in this game, which are the highlights. While the revisited level aesthetics do have updated visuals and unique gimmicks, I’m tired of seeing Green Hill and Chemical Plant again and again. That said, Hydrocity is one of my all time favorites, so I suppose it isn’t all bad.
I’ve played this game for 700 hours because it’s mindless and I like to watch YouTube videos while I play it, but it’s not a great game. It’s entirely luck based if you win or not. There are guys that launch armored missiles and if the game throws them in at any point you lose. This seems like such an easy fix for the dev to lower the amount of armor their missiles have but I guess it’s too difficult, or the dev just doesn’t care, or have time, or at this point judging by the title of the April 1 update “touch grass” and the negativity surrounding this game, he may just hate his customers. Sad.
It’s great. The style is neat. The game also adapts to your towers, so always be on your guard. Do be careful of what you unlock however, as it affects the chances of what you get throughout your play throughs. Don’t go in willy nilly about the upgrades you unlock for your cards because they can hurt you in the long run when you see them for the 4th time in a row. Some towers are good throughout, others are really bad. Just keep in mind of what towers you need to unlock in order to progress. If you mess up this process you’ll need to restart from the beginning as there’s no option to not bring a specific tower and it’s upgrades in. The Legendary Swords RPG Updated full Auto Farm
