With this being a visual novel, the story is the only thing that’ll be attracting you to get it. So how was it? To be totally honest, it wasn’t really anything groundbreaking. I’ve seen similar stories done before, both in other games and other media, but what’s here isn’t bad. What gets me about it though and helps actually set it apart from the rest is actually the translation. Holy hell the translation in this is…amazing. It honestly is. More than anything, I found myself often laughing a lot at this game, it’s honestly just really funny
Ignoring the translation for a bit though, there is a pet-peeve I have with the story though and that’s its length. See, the game likes to separate itself into what it calls “episodes”, kind of trying to make it feel like an anime. I’m totally down for that but the problem is that the game only has 2 episodes, leaving the game to feel a little bit…short. Even with the R18 patch and pausing constantly to take screenshots of how ridiculous the translation is, I finished the entire thing in about 11 hours, and that’s apparently on the longer side according to some people. Other visual novels at or around the same price range can easily triple or even quadruple that running time, so in that sense this one feels a little bit short.
One more pet-peeve I have is the lack of clarity on certain things, especially when the game likes to go into a flashback. There were a lot of things that the game skipped out on that keeps making me think “man, I really really wanted to see this happen“. For the sake of keeping this spoiler-free I’ll drop it here, but yes, there have been plenty of moments when I generally felt like the game could’ve lasted longer to include a scene with some scenarios you will no doubt have in mind if you play this.
