The protagonist, Otus, is the most interesting thing about the story. He was born mute and although he’s trying his best, he is constantly getting blamed by his teacher Asio for ruining things, which leads him to have self-esteem issues. Now isn’t that perfectly relatable for the most of us? The whole story revolves around Otus’ struggle within and he wants to prove himself to the people and most importantly, his teacher Asio. Does he succeed? Well, that’s left to player’s interpretation, I guess. In short, Owlboy is both heartwarming and a heartbroken experience that should be experienced by anyone who is having trouble about making inner peace with themselves.
