MegaCorp is my favorite empire type to play. The money, the market manipulation, the bribery, eliminating or absorbing all rivals and creating a galactic monopoly. I find myself having more fun with that government type than any other. Megastructures are also fun, some of the coolest concepts in Sci-fi brought to the game and they are also very impactful to the late game for when you might be lacking in goals besides just preparing for the crysis.
The cartel mechanics are ridiculous. They can put buildings on your planets that drain resources. You can go to war to make them remove it, but it’s only temporary. If you have a white peace, you have to pay them 1000 credits per cartel building removed. When a small nation is being protected by a much larger nation, and the smaller nation is draining your resources, it quickly creates problems that are functionally impossible to fix. I recommend not purchasing this DLC, and if you have purchased it, I recommend not using it.
A pretty simple DLC that allows us to create corporations, cartels and syndicates, while developing our trading/criminal empire across the galaxy. Apart from the addition of the slave market and the introduction of the faction of caravans that can sell us the most exotic products in the galaxy, I think my favorite change is the possibility of turning our planets into Ecumenopolis, i.e. into a very large city stretching over the entire planet surface (the same as on Coruscant in the Star Wars universe), giving us huge dose of bonuses and satisfaction.
