Played the demo of this during the last Next Fest last year before I bought it recently. Love the gameplay with how arcade-like it feels in both movement and combat, and the soundtrack only amplifies that feeling. Problem is as a rougelike it feels lacking in a lot of areas. I really enjoy rougelikes but when it already feels so similar after a couple of full runs it can feel boring even with the fun gameplay feel.
I’m guessing the devs do plan to update the game some more, so hopefully they expand on those rougelike elements. Heck, if it wasn’t one I’d give it the thumbs up, but where it’s at now it’s hard to recommend it. Go Mecha Ball is a really really fun roguelike, the main gameplay feature is so addictive! The sensation of speed is great, the way you can collide with enemies for ammo and damage is really fun, it’s almost like a huge pinball roguelike : Fling Things and People Annoy Everyone Roblox Script
I haven’t unlocked many guns and abilities yet but the few available at the start are diverse enough, and the one I have unlocked make me excited for what’s to come next! The animation work on the game is top notch 😀 Every enemy is animated really well and with a lot of details. Enemies also make differents sounds on impact depending on which material they are made of, which is really cool Performance on the steam deck has been ok~ish, but definitely enjoyable! But for me, the game really shines on a big TV at 120fps, flying through levels at max speed and losing all my ammo lol.
