This is my favourite cqb video game in the market right now, its so addictive. Lots of real world cqb tactics like running the rabbit in a corner fed room can be applied here and they will work. If you’re not paying attention, if you dont watch your corners, pull security, properly stack, avoid the fatal funnel, these things will get you killed in this game. The enemy AI is also not bad, they hide from you, there will be times they will just wait, sitting in a corner and in a lot of situations you will have to deal with incoming suppressive fire which will force you to think of a different entry method like wall breaching and flanking the enemy. Some of my favourite games like ground branch/ready or not could learn a thing or two from Door Kickers, most of these things would make the cqb experience more realistic and also better in these games.
This game is amazing. Clearing rooms, checking corner to corner, doing breach strats, it’s addicting. My only problem with this amazing game is the lack of updates and communication. Don’t get me wrong, I am in no way saying game development is easy. But updates are so insanely spaced out that it just hurts the game. The last two updates we got added Dushka emplacements, and the ability to use them. The earlier of the two, which added dushkas as weapons, was in September, and the latter was in May. I am not trying to devalue the amount of effort going into this game, as I’m sure it’s a lot, but I wish we got more updates, or at the very least, communication.
