It’s basically a re-released Dead Rising 2 with Frank standing in as the new character with one new area and a sort of flipped story and a handful of extra content. There’s really not much to say about it other than that if you liked the second game, you’ll like this one. The new area is decent enough to play around in and it brought the much desired sandbox mode to fruition so it was a decent package. However, what kills it for me personally is that there is zero controller support and I absolutely despise playing the Dead Rising games with mouse and keyboard.
All in all, I still recommend the first game over anything else in the series. I love this game so much imo the best dead rising in the franchise but its so hard to run the game. Constant crashes, frame drops, freezes, black screens, loading screens don’t load and way more. Sometime it’ll be fine and the bam crash. Plus with the new DRM dropping on old capcom games there’s really not gonna be a way to play this game. Which really, really sucks. I am trying to look for a guide or someone to help with the performance issue I don’t think its a PC issue its modern and my GC is a 3090 RTX intel I7 32 gbs ram and stuff.
Capcom added DRM which kills mods that fix things they refuse to (Adding in the delisted DLC, making the protoman suit actually unlock after the criteria are met). It’s super frustrating that they’re only updating old games to add this ♥♥♥♥ in while actively ignoring things that have needed fixing for the better part of a decade.
