A very fun and solid platforming. There are a lot of stages and each one offers something different. You can play solo or with friends in online or local. Recommended to be played with controller although keyboard is usable.
In the technical side the game is very gorgeous, but a little demanding if you want to match the PS5 graphics, although there are a lot of graphics options so is very scalable to mid or lower end. At launch the game was suffering with some technical issues mainly affecting the high-end settings, like shader-compilation stutter, although with all the patches and updates they solved almost everything and the game is very fluid now.
This is a fun game to play especially in couch co-op mode with a friend or loved one. I don’t think it’s necessarily as fun as It Takes Two, if you had to choose between this game and that one. But this game is solid, you can collect heaps of outfits which you can both customise for the specific doll you’re playing as. It’s actually rather challenging so I don’t think I would recommend this game for younger children. It might be too difficult to get enough point orbs to progress to further levels.
The most fun and unique thing about Sackboy is the music levels – great songs and remixes of songs in some levels are made central to the experience and the entire level comes alive to the music, while you’re just out there trying to keep your stuffing from coming out.
