The Binding of Isaac Rebirth adds significantly to the original Binding of Isaac through the updated engine and adds additions of its own that can push 200+ hours of gameplay.

This game is a must for fans of rougelites because of the unique item interactions and sheer amount of content that can be learned and enjoyed. The Binding of Isaac Rebirth is unique in this way of seemingly endless progression with unlocking and seeing new content with how they interact. The DLCs of the game adds even more content on top of that such as new characters, items, enemies, bosses, challenges, secrets and game modes to keep the game fresh and interesting for many more hours.

The first DLC expands on generally everything, but more on the core aspect of item interactions. The second DLC expands the same way but also with selected additions from the community, mod support including a Steam Workshop and many, many bug fixes. Both DLCs are beasts in their own rights, they change the game significantly and compliment the game in their own ways. The bundle can be a great way to experience the game since the recent update that completely smoothes out progression and makes the game enjoyable right from the start. As odd of a way to open a review as it may be, I need to admit something. I have hated nearly every version of The Binding of Isaac that I’ve played (up to now) with a burning passion.
