The story is interesting and mysterious, Watching characters interact with each other is always fun. It’s a very relaxing experience, hardly a challenge here. But that’s the point of Sword and Fairy 7, it’s like a fairy tale. There’s a lot of dialogue and reading so be prepared! If you enjoy that, you’ll also enjoy this game. The translation might not be the best one but it’s acceptable. I wholeheartedly recommend Sword and Fairy 7 to all of you out there! Really hope to see a new game in this franchise at some point.
You follow the story of four martial artists clad in flowery silk. They unknowingly embark on an epic journey to uncover the great conspiracy and stop the war between humans, deamons, and gods from happening again. The world is a beautiful chinese mythological fantasy; it is filled with spirits, fallen deities, belligerent daemons, humans trying to amass spiritual power to become immortal and powerfull. The game has excellent graphics and is quite an eye-candy. The art style is consistent and bright. Main characters are detailed and well animated – especially their faces. The sound is authentic instrumental with clear melody. The locations are scenic and have different feel to them. The atmosphere is great.
