This game is a beautiful story about mental health, revenge, abuse and redemption. This is by far the most compelling psychological horror game I’ve ever played. I will warn that it has a multitude of triggers in it and this game has no remorse when it comes to dealing with difficult topics I played MOM when I was 14, and for the next 3 decades, I was looking for the same excitement and experience. I am sure this is something people are still looking for, given the number of clones and spiritual successors (or even Slitherine’s official reboot/remake) there are. But we are looking at it with nostalgia, and our expectations have been altered and glossed by time.
