As is evident by my hours, this game is better than the first in the series. It reminds me of harvest moon and stardew valley with the character interactions, the video-making process is a lot better than the previous game, you can run around town and upgrade your house and there is a main story to do. so you may be wondering why I don’t recommend this game. well the main story is incredibly tedious and confusing. in fact the only reason I have 44 hours in this game is because that’s how long it took to do everything, as well as it would have took double the time if I hadn’t been able to find guides, which half the time didn’t exist! obviously there being no guides isn’t the games fault, but the fact that it all is so vague and is very tedious (not to mention the story just not being that good). and then I finally made it to the end.
nothing. no final “boss” or some kind of minigame. after a 30 second cutscene you just keep playing the game like normal. the rest of the game is mediocre at best. anytime anything interesting happens, nothing really comes out of it. so, final thoughts. was it better than the first game? yes. is it a good game? well, if you like harvest moon or stardew valley, you’ll get some enjoyment out of this game, but not as much as if you just played harvest moon or stardew valley. I do recommend this game, but if you are coming to this game thinking that it will be a sequel to Youtubers Life, be prepared to be let down. This game isn’t a sequel, it feels like a whole new game. You are completely solo the entire time, no coloborators, no nothing like that. There are no real specialties anymore, you just do any and everything and for the most part its just video game youtube videos. There are other things, but they really narrowed the scope. The story is ok. Not the greatest, but far far far from the worst.
