This game is a big blast from the past of so many good shoot ’em ups. I’m 2 hours into the play and feel like I’m just scratching the surface in the what the game has to offer. Averaging C+ scores tells me I need to come back and grind these levels harder and that’s what I’m going to do. The depth of the weapon selection is a strong point to any game and this game has that locked down. Beyond your starting lasers/rockets the gameplay really changes when you unlock higher weapon sets. Think scrolling left to right, but your weapon’s strength lies in shooting behind your ship (right to left). Also, the jellyfish lasers are one of my favorites.
One other call out would be the art design. I had to pause a few times and do double takes on some of the mid and end level bosses. I won’t spoil, but I did chuckle a bunch when I realized what I was actually fighting. You can definitely tell there’s a lot of attention to detail in the game. Worth checking out!
I enjoyed this game very much. The multitude of different weapon types and mobs keep the experience very fresh along with an excellent art style. It feels like a lot of effort was put into this project. The gameplay was very smooth and worked out the gate that is something that can’t be said for most new games nowadays. My favorite part of Interstellar Sentinel was the balancing act of attacking enemies while meticulously navigating the bombardment of a several different types of counter attacks. I thought i was righteously blasting through evil monsters in the early goings, but after using all the weapon upgrades and Super Weapon blitzkrieg’s on the natural fauna I Find that I myself may actually be the monster… Hopefully i’ll see more of this game someday =] 10/10 Jailbreak Instant Teleport For Tomb Museum Jewellery
