Enjoying this game quite a bit. It’s challenging but fair. My runs seem to always come to a screeching halt rather than death by a thousand cuts. Permanent progress is on the slow side, but that’s not really a negative. Combat drones are a nice addition to the game and help give you some breathing room. Check out the demo. It gives you a good feel for what the game has to offer. Works great with a controller too. Looking forward to what the developers have in store for this game.
The more I dig into this game, the more impressed I am. More people should be talking about this one. The game starts off a little slow. What I mean is, permanent upgrades are there, but the gold to purchase them takes quite a while to build up. But if you stick with it, things will start to unlock. I’m still having more runs end in the blink of an eye than I’d like, so maybe there are some balancing issues still being worked out (or, more likely I’m not the best player).
