Over all a amazing heavy equipment/mining simulator. Now for an in depth breakdown along with a few suggestions. Pros: The maps are expansive and full. The equipment runs great and sounds good, especially if you use a controller (probably even better with a wheel and joystick but I don’t have those). That’s really what matters in a game like this. The artificial leveling system in the newer versions is annoying and really shouldn’t exist. There’s no variety in starting location on a map so you can memorize the ore patches near spawn pretty easily. A lack of ultra small equipment is also disappointing and multiplayer will be nice.
Recommendations: Remove the level system (or at least unite it from store progression). The starting capital and bank loan systems already put a cap on the ability to start with high tier equipment early on and even if they didn’t some people want to start with that ♥♥♥♥ without playing creative mode. Add smaller equipment, baby skid steers and small excavators and the like. I know it’s a “heavy equipment and mining sim” but having the option to get a skid steer for construction or an extra hard “farming sim survival challenge like” start would be good. A random map generation system would be nice.
Something similar to 7 days to die would work, having the base maps for people who don’t want wait to generate a massive map (I personally would wait hours to generate a map personally, just like I did in the old 7DTD) and last adding multiplayer and maintenance (both have been teased but I want to mention them anyway) TLDR: this is a really good mining sim for people who wanna scratch that itch.
