* the controls themselves are not the frame-perfect exacting ones you got in the original. they’re sludgy, they mess up frequently, and the game often berates you for things it screwed up, like punching directly through a guy and then counting it as a miss. unlike the first game, it is nearly impossible to get a perfect level completion in this one.
which they must’ve known, since they’ve cranked the difficulty level way down in terms of both how you’re scored, and in feeding you tons of extra health throughout the level. wreck the excellent controls of the first one, so just make the game way easier, hey guys? for all the great design they destroyed in this release, they left in some of the worst parts like the super racist announcer, and they added some real 90s X-TREME obnoxious metal tracks which just make it impossible to hear anything. you’ll wanna turn all this stuff off completely, as all it does is make you wanna murder the person responsible for it.
