At first launch, the remastered was horribly optimized. Now, with the recent patches, it surpasses the original 2007 release. Still more room for improvements of course, the devs have said more patches are on the way. It plays silky smooth and looks amazing so far. Can’t wait to see what Crytek does next. This game has a wonderful mixture of open world exploring and linear game play. It has everything for everyone, gun fighting, stealth, vehicles, and even one level where you fly an aircraft. It’s tactical, suspenseful and scary at times.
Almost everything is destructible as well. The story, game play, atmosphere, graphics, characters, creatures and level design… this game was way ahead of its time folks. Crysis is so good no coop or mp is needed, just the game and its soul. How many games can say that? I cannot praise Crysis enough. If you haven’t played Crysis yet, prepare to become the ultimate combat soldier, with state of the art technology, that would make the legendary Predator fear for its life.
