Wow what a game… I didn’t expect much going into it but it really has sucked me in. The story is pretty good and there is a lot you can learn by discovering stone tablets and diary pages. It took me about 16 hours to go though the game and beat the final boss and i still haven’t found everything yet. There is a bit of a grind when you play however its really not bad, leveling up and progression starts off slow but once you get going and find a play style you like it really ramps up.
The strongest weapons and spells you can find in the game are hidden throughout the world, the gear shop can help you get started or get some weapon passives you want but besides that i didn’t find myself using many shop weapons. I mostly only used the shop to buy armor. this game’s really neat, honestly. it’s easy to recommend if you think it seems interesting and have some tolerance for jank
Death kinda sucks. You have a few options mainly return to town but lose 50% of the coins you made keeping all your weapon progression and exp or reload to your last save point. Keep an eye on your heath so you don’t lose too much. Main Bosses have save/heal points outside their arenas so you can throw yourself at them as much as you need. Mini-bosses DO NOT have save/heal points and sometimes you don’t even know you’re about to fight one.
