I can’t recommend this game. I love the series, I really do, some of my best memories of my childhood were me playing Ultimate Ninja Storm 2, and later on, 3, at my best friend’s house. But this game ? It barely holds up to that standard. The game is very clunky and its mechanics are horrible. In short, combat isn’t fair, your parries do nothing, there is no progression system so you’re just as strong (or rather, just as weak) at the end of the game as in the beginning.
YOU HAVE TO COMPLETE SIDE QUESTS TO PLAY THE MAIN STORY. If I wasn’t a diehard Naruto fan, I wouldn’t’ve put up with it. I watched the show so I know the story more or less, but at least in the other games, it brings you right back up to speed. Not this one though, they barely show any character development (very different from the show). Oh, and I’m sure others have said it before, but there’s no cloud saves, so you can’t even go back and enjoy your 100% save if you can somehow put up with all the frustrating grind.
