Do I recommend this game? Yes and no. It truly depends on the person who I’m discussing this game with. I love many parts of this game, but at the same time there were many times where I felt uncomfortable with what was happening. I get dark fiction and do enjoy it tastefully, but I feel like this game sort of relies on shock factor for the bad endings (and Mink’s route in general). I recall people spoiling the bad endings online and I truly think the endings were made so grotesque just to get people to talk about them. Did that work? Yes it absolutely did. But it also takes a good writer to truly make you despise or love a character, and this games has lots of characters to both love and hate.

I loved playing all of the Routes except for Mink’s. I probably enjoyed Clear’s good route the most out of all of them with Koujaku’s good route being a close second. Noiz’s good route was pretty solid and it was really nice seeing Aoba and Noiz connect after Noiz initially being so cold to Aoba. I liked that Noiz had two bad endings. Mink’s route I can at least appreciate because it gave us more lore on the characters and it was written well despite all of the dubious things Mink does to Aoba. **BIG SPOILER** **I didn’t like the ending of Ren’s good route. I do think it’s weird that Ren, whom Aoba is in love with, is basically reincarnated in his brother’s body. I would rather have seen Sei return alive like the ending teases at being what happens, IDK that’s just me.
