The voice actors are very well chosen, as they deliver the atmosphere very well. Looking at the graphics, they are for sure not high-res SSAO 2xAA 3D whatnot. But that doesn’t matter, the 2D pixels are perfect for this game.

The puzzles are most of the time very well thought through, but I must admit that I’ve taken a peek into the walkthrough sometimes, as I got impatient following the story as I couldn’t figure out the solution fast enough. Gemini Rue features a nice scripting for the NPC and the protagonists, and even some humor. It never tries to defeat or damage the player flow which, despite the intricacy of some parts or of the puzzles, can be achieved with focus, some wisdom and sense of intuition. Voice acting is very well taken care of, from the tone, voices and array of accents, and is never hard to understand. You will need to stay focused on the game as there are parts of text that will not be repeated and you might lose chuncks of story, some other stuff will be reapeated.
