For fans of the war-themed Source engine games like Day Of Defeat Source, Insurgency Modern Infantry Combat, Insurgency 2014 and Day Of Infamy, this game is a good option to play. Despite all the updates and the content the game has, it needs a bigger playerbase ’cause it only draws people to play when there’s an update or some sort of coverage is made (for example when it first came out). Therefore, this game needs to be on the radar for those who want to play a “World War II” game with a twist. It’s content-light (several maps, but rather small at this point), there are regular physics defying movement from the bots, and there is next to no multi-player at all.
Still, it’s wildly fun and one of the better Vietnam War games out there. There are several classes (radioman, medic, sniper, assault, etc), multiple weapons choices per class, small amounts of character customization, tactical options (airstrikes, etc), and even though they are small-ish, there are several maps. You can also choose to play on the North Vietnamese side or the United States side of the conflict. All in all, it’s pretty good so far, and on track to even be more if development continues (it’s a year old at this point, but there are updates, fixes, and patches regularly).
