I say, a good old-fashioned Point & Click adventure. It’s a very British 1920’s murder mystery indeed, but with animals! Marvelous art, music that most perfectly enhances the atmosphere, did I mention hilariously British animals? Splendid humour that made me rather literally laugh out loud quite a lot.

The puzzles are mostly classic stuff. A fair bit of backtracking, but it wasn’t terribly bothersome. I did get stuck a few times for rather a bit longer than I would have found enjoyable, close to just bloody well giving up and waiting for a walkthrough. The hint system is consistently useless, isn’t it? I rather did know what the goal was, just not how the bloody game wanted me to get there. On the other hand, a lot of the puzzles were most satisfying and made me feel frightfully clever indeed. I suppose the bleeding gender stereotypes were to be expected in what is, after all, a 1920’s setting. Even so, certain details (which would be spoilers) were awfully unnecessary. I must say, though, the characters and story were entirely entertaining indeed. A tad dark towards the end especially, but nothing too dreadful.
