Review written after playing the first level. Three times because I failed. 😀 The top-down perspective shooter style was completely new for me, so clearly I have a different experience than others might have. This was a spontaneous buy so I just wanted to try it out immediately for a moment. Played on Steam Deck.
In this little game, you work your way through different floors of a company building, performing tasks that are, well, more those of an apprentist than an admin, but who cares. I laughed at the parallel cable. Good old times. Actions are all working by holding a button and basically benefit from the funny labels the devs put on everything. It just took me a few minutes to work out what I had to do and what the symbols on the UI should tell me. Man is this person able to drink a lot of coffee before having to pee!
The two weapons I found in the first level feel good. I liked the different types of zombies. Others criticized the movement of the player and not being able to run but it did not bother me. The game is made to work with this player movement and not running so it’s not like you will die because you cannot run. Of course there are many many things that could be added. You might have an optional belt that allows you to carry the pistol while holding the shotgun but it will make peeing a bit slower/delayed. Tasks could become more complex, requiring more than one button (maybe they do that in later levels). Some of the tasks feel like something should happen like calling someone. Sometimes the hints are displayed behind something or partly out of screen. But anyways, this game raised my mood very fast and I will certainly come back to it soon. 🙂
