Ehhh…. These games don’t hit the same as they did when we were younger, if your thinking of getting this over wrestling empire… well… If you played an MDickie game before you know exactly how this game is going to play, CHAOS! FIGHTING! etc etc, but this game feels like an unfinished tech demo, more than one of MDickie’s games ever have.
I don’t know if its my age now, or what, but this game GENUINELY feels empty, yeah I get it “Its MDickie its bad on purpose blah blah” I know, thats why this game completely throws me off, I was excited for the release of this game as I thought just like how MDickie fleshed out Wrestling Empire way more than he ever did Wrestling Revolution, he would flesh out “School Days but in 3D” to the best of his ability, and on paper it seems like he did, but he didn’t
The game has the same feel as school days on mobile, and it just plain shouldn’t, Wrestling Empire was a SOLID game that you can tell MDickie was excited to start developing so he could completely blow Wrestling Revolution out of the water, THIS game does NOT have that feel, it seems like MDickie just made this to test how one of his free roam games could translate with his new engine, and if you think im just hating on MDickie look at my playtime in WE, the free roam in that game was great as well even with a way smaller map because it effected the gameplay and allowed you to build relationships without it having to be a random cutscene (although you still couldn’t interact with NPCs on your own will).
I’ve played school days on mobile, I’ve played hard time, I’ve played every MDickie game, but this one feels like he didn’t ADD or RENOVATE anything at all, the newest thing about this game is the fact that its in 3D and the map is slightly bigger than school days 2D.
