Gunlocked was easily one of my favorite games of last year, but this DLC really shows just how much the dev learned from the last year of working on it. I’ve only played the DLC for a few hours, but I still haven’t got to play with all the new weapons and utilities. What new toys I have got my hands on so far have been great additions to the game though. The new bomb type weapons also have enough support added in that they feel like they’ve been apart of the game this whole time instead of being brand new.
All in all, if you enjoy Gunlocked, you’re going to love this. It isn’t just more of what you enjoyed, it’s actively made what was great about Gunlocked better as a whole. Absolutely fantastic addition to the original. It adds more content – more of everything you like. It also adds a lot more challenge (in terms of achievements), which is great for anyone who felt like they finished the original. Dev is also super friendly and receptive to feedback, highly recommended! Gunlocked: The 2nd Gunning DLC brings a sequel’s worth of content to Gunlocked, the roguelike shmup. More bosses, playable characters, equippable upgrades, achievements, and challenges await.
