Very cool concept and programming type game. Lots of brain twisters in here, you have to think things through. The early stages are just about teaching you the controls so they are limited, but once you get through them, then all are at your disposal. Later stages introduce more logic,, filters etc. The level get progressively harder, and the ways of solving them are limitless. It does tickle the brain. This is early access and there are some rough edges, and some QOL improvements are needed for sure. Editing the program, especially long ones, can get tricky, and you can get lost in it pretty quick. Kinda like real debugging,, haha.
If you are looking for factory automation like factorio,, this is not for you. But if you really got into the programming side of factorio,, logistics networks, etc,, combinator programming, etc,, then this might just tickle you brain. Its all about logic, flow, and programming. And (for me anyways) has been a lot of fun.
The presentation is nice but the mechanics are pretty lackluster and frustrating. if you’re hoping this will fill the hole Zachtronics left in your life, you’re going to be heartbroken twice. i stopped playing after being forced to program frustrating bots to do everything, then having those taken away and given and even more frustrating drones that you program to do everything. i doubt it gets better but if it does, it’s not worth the slog to get there.
