The story begins with Mutsura Yuuto accompanying his friend on a holiday to Aqua Eden, an artificial island city where gambling and the sex industry are legal. However, his holiday plans are laid to waste after he gets involved in a kidnapping; to make matters worse, he ends up getting turned into a vampire. As a vampire, he can no longer leave Aqua Eden; so with nowhere else to go, he decides to enroll in a special school for vampires on the island.

and thus, his new night life begins! Yoou manually choose every freaking structure and its placement on every city. Once you have three cities and production is ramped up and a bunch of army units, every turn is a nightmare. No automated building. Constantly building prompts, juggling citizens, civics, outposts, luxury goods, clicking every army unit and telling it where to go, (and babysitting that it doesn’t run into a random NPC) gets annoying. Add on the prompts that feel uncessesary like “Khaoria has gained 1 population” and you’ll understand.

It takes a lot of work to build up a defendable civ and raise a decent army, but by the time you get there you’re so exhausted that you want the game to be over with. I feel like this is usually when the game forces me to ‘slip’ and rush into something I know I probably shouldn’t… And losing a handful of army units isn’t a big deal until you think of the amount of clicking, waiting, and leading the soldiers to their destionation again it will take. This game is more fun than Civ until you reach that point. And after that point.
