I am not one to review games very often; especially not early access titles. With that said this game and its devs deserve a pat on the back. Most of the negative reviews I see are based on the game being too challenging or unbalanced, which in my opinion is based on a lack of patience. Every minute put in to the small amount of content available was enjoyed on my end and for good reason. For an early access title this game is a 9/10 for me. This rating is based on the quality of the story as well as the combat system which with a little work will be a great rendition of a jrpg style game. I can’t wait to see where this game goes over the next year and to enjoy every update to come. Keep up the good work! The combat ruins this game for me. It doesn’t matter what kind of gear you have, as nearly every fight will pit you against enemies that out number you and can kill you in 1-2 hits. There is almost no actual strategy involving positioning, as both you and the enemy can quite literally run across the entire battlefield to attack someone standing behind a group with ease.
Some fights literally come down to RNG no matter how well you did for most of the fight. The Patriarch Bear killed my entire team as it evaded 7 times in a row while sitting at 5 HPs. It took out my entire team, one member at a time, once my weak ass healer could no longer keep my ‘Tank’ standing. This happened more than once in other fights where a string of misses and evades left me cursing at my monitor.
