So I loved both Pearl and Son of Jaguar (criminally underrated by the Steam Community) and so I was very excited to download and experience Sonaria. However, this experience is just severely lacking. It’s more like a demo. It’s a demo for VR circa 2015. It just doesn’t pass muster anymore. Project Mugetsu Fast
Don’t get me wrong, it’s not a horrible experience (although I did have trouble starting, when it says sit down to experience, you really have to get lower than you’d normally sit for it to start). Motion controllers do work, but mostly just as gamepads to change the view. It’s a nice demo with nice visuals and sounds. There’s just not much of a story, at least not an original one. Basically, you see these red and blue shapes transform into various creatures in various environments around you.
Rating 5.5/10 it’s free, and there’s much worse out there, but you’d be better off demo-ing Pearl or Son of Jaguar for friends and family to experience VR … this is a download once and then delete for VR enthusiasts only
