After many roguelikes played i can really affirm that this one is one of the few that made me go “finally something new”. The side view with the introduction of many weapons that are really particular makes it almost a bullet hell. I am in love with the ability of the devs to add this many new features (such as special rooms and a sort of story). The world has a cyberpunk-ish vibe to it that feels so interesting.
I knew from the start that i was going to enjoy this game a lot, from the colorful aesthetic to the fact that it is a roguelike. Lots of characters to play, tons of guns and buttload of items is basically a recipe for a long time of fun when it comes to games in this general. Personally i really love the sound design in this game, has this certain power that makes all the guns feel very satysfying to use. Special seeds are also super fun, a lot of refferences to other stuff if you enjoy a little bit of humour in your game. Recommended, would die in the abyss again.
The game has too many “non-bos” (non-combos) for my taste. Whereas a lot of games of this type are happy to see you grow immensely powerful, there’s a bunch of item combinations that are actively harmful to one another and can kill you by shooting your gun.
